Our research

From known dyes to unexplored brilliance
Our lab is interested in developing near-infrared fluorophores for in vivo light techniques. We draw inspiration from different dye scaffolds and apply to the near-infrared fluorophore strutures to create new molecules with added advantges for applications in biological research and biomedical application, spanning imaging, sensing, diagnostics and treatment.
Extending the limit for proteomics analysis
Our group also develops new tools for next generation chemoproteomics reagents. We design novel isotopic mass tags with correpsonding algorithm to enhance sensitivity of mass acquisition and confidence of sequence assignment. We also create new warheads to probe protein-protein interactions.
